Warming the Body, Steadying the Spirit

Winter has a way of slowing us down—inviting reflection, rest, and a quieter kind of strength. The days are short, the air is cold, and many of us are carrying more than usual. At Optimal Healing, we see winter not as something to endure, but as a season to tend to the body, steady the mind, and reconnect with community.
This year especially, the broader climate—social, political, and personal—can feel heavy. While opinions may differ, what remains constant is our shared need for grounding, compassion, and spaces that support nervous-system regulation. Mind–body–spirit care isn’t a luxury in times like these; it’s a stabilizing force. Community is where we practice presence, resilience, and repair.
February Warmth
In the spirit of warmth and renewal, we’re offering several February programs designed to support strength, calm, and connection.
New Yoga Class: Core to Calm We’re excited to welcome a new one-hour power class led by Danielle Girard. Core to Calm is welcome to all ages and yoga levels, designed to build heat and strength, then intentionally downshift—ending with a Reiki-infused Shavasana (final rest).

Community: Introducing Client Days
Led by Shannon Toye, OH will begin offering a monthly experience at no cost to all current clients or members of OH. These events aim to introduce you to new treatment methods that align with our mission: Mind, Body, Spirit, Community. The integration of various treatment types will allow participants to explore holistic approaches that combine physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. This multifaceted approach is designed to enhance overall well-being and foster a deeper connection for your personal growth and development of community. Keep an eye out for our inaugural Client Day, scheduled for a Saturday in March!
A Note on This Season
Winter can amplify uncertainty and division, but it can also be a time to choose intentional care. At OH, we remain committed to being a centered, inclusive space—one that supports healing across differences and reminds us of what we share: the need for safety, regulation, and meaningful connection.
Mind. Body. Spirit. Community. These aren’t abstract ideas—they’re practices we return to, especially during darker days.
If you’re feeling the cold—physically or emotionally—we invite you to come warm up with us.
Book now, join us in February, and let this season be one of quiet strength and collective care.
Warmly, Ashley
